I’m Nate Sanway, a hip-hop artist from Orlando, Florida, and the founder of Sanway Entertainment. I’ve been recording music since 2019 and releasing projects ever since. I’m currently studying music production at Full Sail University, refining every part of my craft so that the music I release next is the best I’ve ever made.
An artist first, not a celebrity
Fame has never made anyone happy. What I want is for people to enjoy my music, and for every listener to know how much I value them. I’m a regular person, just like the people who listen to my music.
It’s common to see someone become famous and, over time, lose touch with who they were. I believe integrity is the one thing that truly belongs to you, and I intend to protect mine. Above all, it will always be about the music.
I’m human, and I make mistakes. But every project I release represents my absolute best effort. I’ve recorded a great deal of music that will never be released, and that’s intentional. Only the work I’m proudest of makes it out.
Music is the great healer
It often feels like the world grows a little darker every day, both in how people treat one another and in what society allows. I want my music to be a light in that darkness.
I believe music is the great healer. The ability to capture emotion in recorded sound, so that others can feel it too, is one of humanity’s greatest achievements.
I also want to recognize the pioneers who never received proper credit, and the trailblazers who were lost to history while the “owners” of their music reaped the rewards. I understand that the music industry is a business. But the people who create the art matter more than the companies that decide who gets through the gate.
What my music sounds like
My sound blends hip-hop, R&B, soul, funk, psychedelic rock and pop, with blog-era hip-hop at its core. I aim to make every song sound different from the last, bending genres and pushing past what I’ve done before. Read more about the music that shaped me.
